Kalevit Introduces Its Brand New Series "Arch" at the ISH Fair

Aesthetics:  The essence of the Arch Series' modern design language...
Your initial reaction upon entering an Arch bathroom will be similar to what you might feel facing the grandeur of certain buildings.... In this duo, the curvature that mimics the arches of buildings elegantly come together with a language that reflects today's technology.

Functionality: Immense functionality with varied sizes of sinks, bidets, urinals and toilets.
The sinks come in three different sizes; 52cm, 60cm and 80cm. The smallest of the group is a unique, uncut piece that performs wonderfully in tighter spaces. The 60cm can be used on counters, and both the 60cm and the 80cm can be set atop full or half pedestals.
Optional chrome towel hangers frame the set, and add a touch of elegance and functionality to the room.
The application of the toilet and the bidets is what sets them apart from their competitors. Hidden plumbing and undetectable mountings
ensure there's nothing to break the visual flow of the bathroom...

Zen
Soft lines and curves of the Zen evoke the Asian serenity: The peace and order of a rock garden go along with the simplicity of a temple in a bamboo grove. It's ideal for contemporary spaces that seek harmony, reflecting the importance of water in feng shui.

Adolf Babel is one of the most popular designers of our times. He created the Babel series for Kalevit that mingles form and function.

Babel
In the greatest tradition of German design, the Babel Collection mingles form and function. Clean and modern with a Bauhaus heritage, the Collection's inspiration includes classical geometric forms and the German passion for superior functionality. Combining musings and speculations on the nature and meaning of shape with practical solutions for a range of settings and styles, The Babel Collection is a master designer's answer to creating "simple and noble elegance" in both new and existing bathrooms.

Adolf Babel expresses his ideas as follows:

"My target was to create a bathroom range with a calm charisma, which can be integrated in existing bathrooms. I focused my efforts on a reduced and clear formal language and well-balanced proportions.

During the draft I always considered the bathroom as a well-designed unit. All parts should follow one general design idea. That doesn't mean simply to take over some important details. It has to be seen in a homogeneous character of all single parts. This causes harmony within the ensemble.

All ceramic parts are based on the geometrical figures as square, circle or a combination of both. Clearly rounded corners present an even soft character, although the forms appear quiet strong and straight. The washbasins display a special appeal because of the interesting contrast between the narrow rims and the well-balanced bodies with lightly arched surfaces.

Besides the formal aspects functional demands played a main role in the design process. I paid attention especially on right ergonomic dimensions, comfortable use and facilities of easy cleaning. For instance the rims, which enclose the bowls inclusive the fitting banks and the storage areas they prevent any deposit object from falling down and the walls are protected against splash and water.

I am convinced that this new range with its simple and noble elegance will create a pleasant atmosphere for the users."
